Misha B approached by Tim Burton to work on new movie after X Factor

FROM small screen to silver screen – the future is looking X-tremely bright for Misha B.

She may be tipped to get the boot from tomorrow’s X Factor semi-final but the teenager from Tottenham has landed a dream Hollywood role.

The 19-year-old singer has been approached by Oscar-nominated director Tim Burton, 53, to star in his next movie.

As well as agreeing to sing on the soundtrack to the Walt Disney-backed film Frankenweenie, which is due out next autumn, Misha B has also been offered a cameo voiceover role.

American director Tim – dating Helena Bonham-Carter – and whose blockbusters include Batman, Planet of the Apes and Alice in Wonderland, approached the bolshy rapper on Wednesday.

He spotted the X Factor crew at the Metropolis studios in west London, where the remaining four artists – Amelia Lily, Marcus, Little Mix and Misha – were recording their versions of the winner’s song.

Wasting no time, Tim went up to the producer and asked to be allowed to speak to the teenager.

I’m told: “Tim was at the studios for work when he spotted Misha. He’s a huge fan of hers and spoke to a producer, requesting an audience with the singer.

“The pair spoke for around 15 minutes, with Tim outlining his plans for Misha, and asking whether she would be interested in recording a track. Misha was blown away and hugely flattered. She agreed immediately and the pair swapped management details.

“Simon Cowell has been told and has agreed to waive the strict terms on her X Factor contract so Misha can take part.”

That will undoubtedly prove some consolation to the young star should she be eliminated from tomorrow night’s show.

And on the subject of X Factor, last night ITV released details of their all-singing, all-dancing, all-star finale.

The show will feature performances from Coldplay, Leona Lewis, Michael Buble, JLS and One Direction and, for the first time, will be filmed at Wembley Arena.

Confirming the news, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin said: “We’re all big X Factor fans, so we’re very excited to play live on the show.”

Rihanna demands room for her entourage at Jingle Bell ball

YOU’D be forgiven for thinking Rihanna’s the Only Girl in the World allowed to have an entourage – given her latest diva demands.

The 23-year-old Bajan is headlining this weekend’s Capital FM’s Jingle Bell Ball and demanded TWO massive rooms backstage.

So poor Olly Murs and Pixie Lott have been downgraded to single rooms.

Frantic organisers had to knock down walls to accommodate RiRi, who is bringing an entourage of more than 50 people – including an “eyelash whisperer” from the States to glue on her lashes individually.

My mole tells me: “Everyone else performing, including The Wanted, have been forced to cram into a tiny room backstage.

“Most acts have only been given a plus one, so Rihanna has put a few noses out of joint as organisers have had to lay on food, free drinks and free tickets for her 50-plus entourage.”

Robbie Savage braced for emotional Strictly Come Dancing after Gary Speed's death

GRIEVING Robbie Savage is preparing for a highly emotional experience on tonight’s Strictly Come Dancing.

The ex-Welsh football international has dedicated his performance to close pal tragic Gary Speed.

Robbie, 36, will perform a quickstep to the song Little Green Bag.

He put in an intensive training session with partner Ola Jordan yesterday and is determined to make it a performance to be proud of.

He Tweeted: “Going to be so emotional, I’ll make him proud of his mate.”

Robbie will have to perform in front of millions of people with his friend’s death still fresh in his memory.

Gary and wife Louise watched Robbie and Ola from front-row seats in the Strictly audience just six weeks ago.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley swimsuit pictures show off her stunning figure

Transformers actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley shows off her figure in a variety of swimming costumes at a stunning poolside photoshoot for a fashion mag.

But the English former Victoria’s Secret lingerie model, 24, reveals even she faced judgement about her looks when she moved to the US.

She said: “All I kept hearing was, ‘Honey, you gotta change this, your hair’s this, your legs are that, why are you wearing that?’ And so it was a constant stream of judgement.”

Victoria Beckham leads the British fashion pack

This week saw Victoria Beckham awarded Designer Brand of the Year at the British Fashion Awards.

She travelled all the way from LA with her favourite accessory in tow – super-cute baby Harper – and was presented with her gong on the night by designer best mate Marc Jacobs.

Other A-listers at London’s The Savoy for the ceremony included Kate Hudson, Daphne Guinness and Samantha Cameron who, like Mrs Beckham, all wore black.

But my dress of the night by a mile was rock chick Kate Moss’s black floor-length fishnet frock.

My favourite designer Stella McCartney also picked up an award for Red Carpet Dresser of the Year, but the ultimate award of the night – Designer of the Year – went to Alexander McQueen’s Sarah Burton who sent the label stratospheric this year after designing THAT wedding dress for Kate Middleton.

While we’re on the subject of Great British brands, there’s good news for Brits living in Paris as M&S has just reopened in the French capital. After closing its store there 10 years ago, there were protest marches on the streets! I was living in Paris at the time and felt like joining in.

And more good news on the shop front – after the 24-hour sell-out success of Versace’s debut range for H&M, Donatella has said she’s already busy designing a follow-up range that will go online on January 19.

Finally, it’s time to wear the trousers – leather ones, to be precise. Make like Alexa Chung and keep them skinny-legged. If you’re a little self-conscious or tired of breathing in, team them with a boyfriend sweater or jacket. Just be sure to wear with a heel or ankle boots, not flats.

Biba at House of Fraser has the hottest on the high street (£149, down from £249) and Mary Portas, also at House of Fraser, has a skinny jegging style (£132, down from £230). OK, they don’t come cheap, but looking at price per wear and the fact they reappear every few years, it’s a good investment. I wear mine with a white T-shirt or shirt, a tux jacket and a killer heel.

But if you don’t do leather – or the price of it – Warehouse has faux leather skinnies (£45) as do Oasis and Topshop (below), both £42. Rock ’n’ roll!

Why has Holly Valance failed to capture the hearts of Strictly Come Dancing viewers?

By rights, Holly Valance should be the hot favourite to win the current series of Strictly Come Dancing.

She was the glamour girl of Neighbours when the Aussie soap was still popular, topped the charts in her pop career, and there’s no doubt the girl can dance.

But something is clearly going wrong. Holly and her dance partner Artem Chigvintsev have ended up in the bottom two for the last two weekends in a row.

And they are steeling themselves to be voted off tomorrow after viewers failed to warm to the Aussie star.

“I do think that this could be our swan song,” sighs Holly, 28. “For the last two weeks we’ve been in the bottom two which was really disappointing especially as we performed well and got decent scores.

“I don’t know why the public vote didn’t reflect that, but someone’s got to go out.

“I didn’t expect to win, but I’d like to get a bit further in the competition.”

So what is the problem? Perhaps it was the rumours of a romance with Artem – said to have caused blazing rows between him and girlfriend Kara Tointon, last year’s winner – that put viewers off voting for Holly.

Or perhaps they think she is a tad stuck-up, now that she’s got a billionaire boyfriend and a jet-set lifestyle.

Holly is dating property developer Nick Candy. He and his brother Christian turned a £6,000 loan from their gran into a £9billion global property portfolio. She now shares Nick’s opulent homes in London and Monaco, flies around on his private plane and holidays on his £50million super-yacht.

It’s all a bit of a change from her humble beginnings. Holly shot to fame as a sexy schoolgirl in Neighbours before topping the pop charts with Kiss Kiss, Down Boy and Naughty Girl – her steamy videos still get millions of hits on YouTube.

The lads’ mag favourite recently recreated the famous Goldfinger Bond movie scenes for one of her saucy Fosters lager ads. It’s certainly not hard to see what attracted billionaire Nick.

But chatting to Holly during a break from training, rumours of any flirtation between her and Artem seem way off the mark. If there is any sexual chemistry between them, it isn’t on show today. For tonight’s show they are doing a number from The Legend of Zorro.

Holly says: “We did a fencing scene for the pre-dance video with me whipping Artem into shape. I’ve been dying to do the Paso for ages. It’s so fiery and strong. I’m not really into the fluffy stuff – I’m really not a fluffy kind of girl.”

Clearly. So what did Holly make of those romance rumours? “People are so unimaginative,” she sighs. “Every year someone has to have that storyline. I knew there’d be c*** from day one.

“Kara has been giving me lots of advice, which is brilliant. But I’m just doing the job I’m here to do. I’m a professional. I am being paid by the BBC to make a TV show and that’s it.”

At least someone is excited about it.

“Nick has been to watch me every single week and has been taking it REALLY seriously,” she says. “He is very proud and really supportive. He loves Artem and everyone I work with. It would be awful to have someone who wasn’t interested.”

When Holly began dating Nick in 2009 she had no idea of his vast wealth.

Last year she showed off her £20,000 gold Rolex birthday present and gushed: “The wealth and lifestyle were overwhelming initially. It was like ‘Wow!’ When I saw the boat I was stunned and said, ‘Oh dear God, it’s a mansion on water’. It’s incredible.”

I ask if she is now more at home with the luxury lifestyle and she replies curtly: “It’s just someone’s job.”

A pretty good job though, Holly?

“Well, if you worked as hard as he does you’d have a pretty good job, too,” she snaps. “There can only be a handful of other people in this country who work as hard as he does.” I fear I’ve touched a nerve. Holly’s no shirker herself. Growing up in Melbourne, her parents separated when she was four. Fiercely independent, she got a part-time job at the age of 12 just to pay for school books and shoes. She ended up modelling and earning £20,000 in her first year.

Didn’t she pick modelling because she was too young to do the job she really wanted to do – work in McDonald’s?

Barely stifling a yawn, she says: “That little titbit has been dragged up for the past 15 years – but, yes.

“I couldn’t work in McDonald’s because you had to be 14 years and nine months and I was 12.

“I did modelling for four years while still at school. It wasn’t something I loved doing, just something I was OK at and got paid for.

“Then I went for an audition at Neighbours and got it. And then everything snowballed.

I HAVE been very lucky – but then I’ve always taken the opportunities that were given to me and run with them.

“Strictly was an opportunity not to be missed. I love the fact that it is family orientated.”

Have she and Nick got any plans to tie the knot and have kids?

She says: “We do want a family one day, but I’m certainly not ready for that. I’ve got too much to do and I’m not ready not to be selfish.”

And she also still has her saucy side. The night before she bumped into Nancy Dell’Olio and asked about her rumoured deal to pose naked for Playboy.

“She said it was being discussed,” laughs Holly. “God, I REALLY hope she does it, that would be so awesome.

“It’s not something I’d do now, but if I was 50 and someone asked me to get my gear off, of course! Why not?”
